Fun in the sun!

Yesterday I was off work so we took advantage of the warm weather and went over to Grandma and Grandpa Christies to swim. I thought Trent liked the water last year but this year he LOVED it. We had so much fun. Heres a few pictures from our day...(or a lot, but you dont mind....right?)

18 months

Trent is a year and a half now so I thought it would be a good time for an update. So here is what our little man has been up to:

• he weighs 28 pounds
• size 18-24 month clothes
• size 6 shoe
• size 4 diapers
• has 16 teeth
• Goes to bed around 8:00-8:30 and wakes up around 6:00-6:30
• Takes one nap usually between 2 and 4 hours (although rarely 4)
• FINALLY weaned fron nursing (around 16 months)
• He is Mr. Independent...he wants to do everything by himself. Refuses to let me feed him anymore.
• He is crazy as ever, has to be outside at all times.
• Loves playing basketball. He is actually getting quite good at dribbling the ball and he has a pretty good shot if you ask me.
• He is very determined. He does not give up easily.
• Has been saying a lot more words lately. His list of words include: mama, dada, baba (for sippy cup), baby, hi, bye bye, yea, no, ball, doggy, this, shoe, more, no more, move, off, hide (usually said in a whisper) bad, back, ba (for bath), juice, poopoo (haha), bubbles, night night (sounds more like ny-ny)
• can point out his nose, eyes, arms, fingers, legs, toes, ears, mouth, hair, belly, belly button, bum, and boobies..haha
• loves to play in the car/truck. knows which key starts the truck and can put it in the ignition
• LOVES his new baby cousin Tenley, he is sooo sweet with her! He wants to hold her all the time. When he sees her he says baby, and gently rubs her head.
• CLIMBS everything in sight
• Loves, loves, loves the hose. My dad teases Ryan that Trent is going to be a fire fighter. Daddy does not like that haha
• Loves Bubbles. Almost every morning he walks me over to the drawer that has the bubbles in it ans will say bubbles, bubbles, bubbles over and over again until I get them for him. Sometimes we are out of bubbles and I try to show him in the drawer that they are all gone, but he keeps saying it over and over. This is when we make 7:30 am trips to Target for bubbles.
• he loves to color with his crayola wonder magic markers
• Still loves watching daddy mow and edge the grass. I love it too because he will just sit on my lap the entire time : )
• This is disgusting but he loves to help daddy pick up the dog poop in the backyard. He will run to the next "pile" and say poo poo, poo poo until Ryan picks it up.
• When he hears dogs barking, whether it be ours or other dogs in the neighborhood, he puts his pointer finger to his mouth and says shhhhhh. so cute!
• He likes to walk down the stairs forwards now he just holds on to the railing
• Has started to play more independently now
• Sometimes he likes to run laps around the family room...its hilarious
• He pretty much understands whatever I tell him to do.
• Pretty much obsessed with the dogs and is actually being a lot nicer to them.
• Does not like strangers AT ALL. He is so shy around peole he doesnt know.
• Is so so so fun and we love him so much!
